Senior Business Analyst
Duties and Responsibilities:
Elicit, define, analyze, and document requirements for new projects and enhancements to existing applications supporting corporate processes and reporting
Provide direction, oversight and analytical support for facilitated solution modeling and Report Prototyping
Provide recommendations on functionality and applicability of technological solutions to business requirements
Develop and document business processes and also support testing activities
Participate in all aspects of testing, implementation and support as well as assist in preparing project deliverables
Consult and work closely with the technical team to ensure that all requirementshave been addressed
Use SAS to assist the business area preparetest case, metrics and to execute specific mart validation through engineering
Support the Analysis, Design and Implementation phases
Analyse data and data flows with regards to specific reporting products being developed
Qualifications:
University degree or equivalent experience
At least 4-7 years of information technology business analysis experience in systems development
At least three years of experience in the health care industry
Knowledge of Canadian health care standards, methodologies and processes
Exceptional investigative and interviewing skills and meeting facilitation skills
Understanding of business, data, process, and object-oriented analysis and modeling techniques
Knowledge of requirements management, the Software Development Lifecycle, the Enterprise Data Warehouse Lifecycle, and QA methodologies are essential
Knowledge of Data Warehousing
Experience with systems development methodologies within a large corporate environment preferred
Strong interpersona, communication, documentation, conflict resolution and relationship management skills required
Proficient in SQL, PL/SQL and SAS
Exceptional technical writing skills
Ability to understand company-wide project initiatives, discern cross-functional opportunities, and comprehend overall company business directives
