Data Cleansing & Consolidation

One of the most common issues of business users across all business units, market segments and continents is unreliable data. There are many reasons for that fact – starting with misunderstanding of the information systems outputs, through the misunderstanding of reports purpose to the incorrect data. Simply said, incorrect data doesn’t meet end-users expectation for its quality and mainly – doesn’t support its users and their goals and costs money. Therefore data cleansing comes to the spotlight (usually together with other remedies).

Your company needs Data Cleansing solution if you negatively respond to at least one of the following (or similar) questions:

  • Are you sure your regulatory reports reflect correctly reality and therefore meet regulatory requirements?
  • Do you argue in management meetings on report numbers interpretation?
  • Can you always contact your clients using the contact information provided by your CRM / contact centre support system?
  • Does the available data support you in reaching your goals?
  • Do you intend to migrate old data into new system?

Typical Data Cleansing deliverables

Primarily Adastra Data Cleansing deliverables will solve your problems with the unreliable data. Not only you will get better data but also you will understand it, see the errors and understand their causes. The commitment of the delivery teams is not only to deliver what you need but also to explain the background and share the know-how.

Technically you may choose from the two types of delivery:

  • One-time data cleansing is usually used for one-time activities (such as migration of the data from one system to another) and represents a starting point of the data management activities in your company.
  • Permanent data cleansing solution is an operational solution ensuring your data (you cleaned for the first time) preserves – or even improves – its quality. The permanent solution may be run periodically (so called batch or off-line of incremental run) or may check and clean the data as it is being entered in the systems in real-time (so called on-line).

Both one-time and permanent data cleansing solutions not only check and correct the data based on the business rules but they also include data consolidation (deduplication and/or householding).

Key solution benefits

  • Communication costs reduction achieved through reliable and correct contact data. (e.g. the number of returned mailing decreases; the success rate of your contact center outbound calls increases etc.).
  • Increased efficiency of marketing campaigns by addressing appropriate customers (due to the holistic view of the customer gained because of consolidation and high-quality data).
  • Significantly reduced costs of collection processes.
  • Compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Higher effectivity of business processes in general as scrap & rework is minimized (as a result of non-quality data).
